Subject: National Weather Service advisory/Last day of finals

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for tomorrow, December 19 starting at 10 AM. The forcast is for snow accumlation of up to one foot. Other area schools and colleges have already announced they will be closed tomorrow.

Since the bad weather is not supposed to begin until late morning/noontime, the last day of make-up finals will take place as planned. If the snowstorm increases in intensity before finals are completed, we will dismiss day students early, and Monday will be a make up day for all exams not completed. Boarding students will complete their exams.

If the storm begins earlier than forcasted, classes may be cancelled. Performing groups, your performances will be made up at another date in either case. For those of you who were planning on leaving campus tomorrow, please keep cell phones, blackberrys and all other such devices near by for more news.
